Bloody Mary , the thought evokes childhood memories of fear . Of little boys & girls having a sleep over telling tales to scare each other. Then as often the case, one pulls this tale out & they group together into the bathroom. Turning out the lights & chanting "Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary, Bloody Mar......"
I decided this painting should portray the instance where Mary arm has jumped out of the mirror, grabbing the child's eye in her hand.
