A series of three: Yellow, Red , Blue
The following series of 3 works are depicting different parts of a womans body. Each image that is presented in the genre of erotica or erotic dancing.
Each piece is untitled #1,#2,#3 to play into the concept that these women are merely numbers, de humanized, just body parts for the viewing pleasure of others.
Each piece is a bold colourful, pop artist , almost cartoonish likeness. Once again this lends to concept that these are just body parts, not complete people and individuals. The mixed media portion within the body scape of the woman was designed using Xerox transfer from the back adult want ad section of a local newspaper. This addition to the work reinforces the obsessive drive in our society to marginalize women into merely sexual beings, without cerebral and emotional essence.
I began this process thinking the entire series might have a title such as" When she was 12 and taking dance lessons… is that what she dreamed of?
I hope this work, although appearing light and colourful, will stimulate thought and conversation about whole concept of how womens bodies are often used for just visual pleasure, selling of commodities, and the inherent danger that poses for our young girls and women today.

Untitled #1 : is a front view of a naked womans torso, from neck to hips
