Marie Hélène Roger is an artist who paints fragments of life in a comic or poetic style. As the years have passed characters and movement have become her principal and favourite subjects.
Social questions, gatherings and festivities all occupy a large place in her multi-coloured universe. Her painting is figurative; she draws her inspiration from typical village scenes which she personalises according to the mood of her imagination, simply la joie de vivre.
