LAVIS D'ENCRE SUR PAPIER. J.SAUSSEAU 2006. The composition is made of several characters, each of them are in fact projections that the artist is making of himself. Face to face to different questions of is own...Agonising, child painter or wondering about in the desert. "Deserts often come back in my compostions they bring calm, space add the distance needed". The composition is red from left to right. Starting with the house cause "there ain't nothing like home", the stamp or empty form meaning loneliness; that bring us to the agonising man who seems to be looking toward the child painter more preoccupied by the tree next to him. The tree is meaning of the different roads that are to take, and the idea that branches can be cut off of it,to make it grow the way we want it to...ending by a boot that is placed there to indicate the toughness of the place..
