I began this piece after one of my young students said, "we got orange skies...". I was showing my art class an image of Edvard Munch's painting, "The Scream", and asked them what they thought about the background. I use phrases such as this one to begin my paintings and drawings. I am interested in the ephemeral, shadows, reflections, built and imagined environments.
