"Tang Song", mezzotint, 2023. Believe it or not, I worked on this plate for about three years, of course on and off. The image is inspired by my several residences at https://www.guanlanprints.com/en/h-col-106.html, Shenzhen, China. I am very grateful for having had these opportunities. The title is a bit of a wordplay, the Song Dynasty (960-1279) followed shortly after the Tang Dynasty (618-907), but the image also depicts a musical display, a song, a song perhaps to welcome the Eastern as well as the Western New Year.
