This artwork reminds me a bit of a cross between a Jack-in-the-Pulpit (arisaema triphyllum) and a Chinese Lantern (physalis alkekengi). It's a surreal and slightly alien looking artwork, but it's pleasing to the eye and it has a lot of interest. The stem and stalk lend an undulating movement, the 'window frame' breaks the work nicely and adds to the depth of the piece, and the multi-colored atmosphere and pebbled background give it a sense of mystery and pause for thought.
The organic curves are offset by the straight but broken lines, the composition is unique and 'unexpected', and the colors lend a vitality to the artwork.
I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I do.
