pery_burge - STATE OF CREATION
The creation of matter at different stages. A sequence of pictures of ink in water showing radial spreads in various states of creation from new to old. In 'Scarabubble' we have a newly-born form, set in gold - the first stage. The second image, 'luminous pod', (a different radial spread) shows the rapid unfolding of forms which is the next stage of development. The third and fourth images, 'Start out' and 'Goldenheart' show two stages of a radial spread, moments separated by several seconds. We see how moving from one stage of evolution to the next can entail a complete transformation, like a butterfly from a chrysalis. The fifth image, 'go supernova', although it is actually a radial spread in its initial stages of moving outward, reminds us of the final moments of a star as it goes supernova and explodes outward in a burst of light and colour.
