About Concentric Circles . . .
This painting is about movement - spontaneous movement captured in the moment with watercolor - an unplanned - colorful - magical - moving piece.

After it was created - I allowed the painting to reveal it's name to me - and at that moment I remembered a story that I heard some time ago.

"When ancient man caught the first glimpse of his image in the reflection of a pool of water - it was a profound moment. He had never see himself before - he was enraptured with the mirror of his image on the water - and in a moment of curiosity he reached to touch the reflection he was beholding - and when his finger touched the water ... it created a ripple of concentric circles."

After contemplating this thought ... I realized how we make a difference when we reach out to touch others. We make a difference in our community through everything we do - each act of giving sends out the concentric circles of kindness and love. It's all connected - when it is an "authentic act of kindness" it is an act of love - giving to others as you would give to yourself.
