History: In 301, Armenia adopted Christianity thus becoming the first country in the world to proclaim it as its state religion, even earlier than in Roman empire. The monk, Mesrob Mashtots, inventor of the Armenian alphabet, traveled the eastern Mediterranean world for several years and studied various scripts as models, including Aramaic, Greek, and Ethiopian. In 405 B.C. he produced 36 letters of the Armenian alphabet. Three more characters were later added. The Armenian language is an Indo-European language, It is the official language of the Republic of Armenia and Karabakh.
In1915 Young Turks government of Ottoman Empire organized largest human slaughter of 20th century the Armenian Genocide. Millions of Armenians perished, others managed to escape and established themselves in cities around the globe. Of the total 9 millions of Armenians living worldwide, only about 3 millions live in Armenia. Many countries, like Canada, France, Italy, Greece Switzerland, Sweden etc. recognized this tragic historical event, but governments of USA, Britain, & Israel are still wearing double faced masks by ignoring the facts
