This image is one of a series of prints that tells the story of a young woman beaten by her husband. In order to escape his abuse she transforms herself into a dog only to find herself tethered to the dog team where the abuse continues.
I parallel this story with how we are treating our planet. We abuse her terribly and she reacts by changing continuously, drastic weather aberrations, increases in certain insect and plant densities or shocking drops in animal populations. I am convinced she will eventually take possession of herself but when and at what state shall we have reduced her to?
