Considering mother tongue as one of the most important aspects of personal identity and one of the essential means of human communication, I asked people living in Luxembourg to write letters in their native languages and to allow part of what they wrote to be used in the images. For the moment, the series „Letters from Luxembourg“ consists of the images with 12 languages, which is a small part of linguistic and cultural variety in the country with 162 nationalities.
