AndrosDeadArt - The Dis-sense Of Life
Skulptur
"The dis-sense of life" was the title of one of my solo exhibition held in 2001, it's a definition that encompasses a large portion of what to me is worth investigating with art, it's a part of my vision about existence, part of my androsophy. Human being has always questioned himself about the meaning of life and the reasons for our being there, and so did the art. Luckily, no one has ever been able to reveal the secret, probably because the secret is that there is no secret, just like there is no absolute meaning or reason, immutable and universal. So, despite the millennia of art that precede me, I too can strive on these issues. I do not like proclamations and I find absolute truths a bit boring, as well as dangerous. With these works I do not intend to propose or impose a definitive result, but only provide some summands for everyone to come to a conclusion, adding what is missing, or removing what is too much, based on his own experience and his own feelings. With the distorted lens of art, I filter what I believe are the highlights of our experience on this planet, that thing we call life, and I do lingering on dissent, chirps, the hardships, the discrepancies, contradictions and inconsistencies; they make it even more difficult to see the sense, but they are the salt of the concept, so impalpable and yet accepted, of "existence." I continue to dig myself looking for the human inside all of us, pulling, as if they were precious diamonds, the scent and the stench that humanity shares without the willingness to face it.
