Iliana Tosheva

As a person and artist I do dislike staying the same size.

What permanently inspires me is any less traditional shape, texture and colour or a blend of the three put together I can discover on a journey ‘back to nature’ no matter how trivial the cliché might sound.

I like my sea mustard yellow, green and brown rather than blue and silver grey.
I like my pebbles black, brown, red and white.
I like my trees black even when they are not.

I have been exploring human face, urban ‘distortion’ and the ‘weird’ presence of nature wherever and whenever least expected - a blend I find particularly fascinating.

    "Vera "Shauna, Francine" with this enigmatic title appears to me like a symbol for woman. The mysterious atmosphere of this work and its clarity at the same time are admirable.
