I am a self -taught artist. It was my chance meeting with the master abstract expressionist  Willem De Kooning , which truly lit the fire. I had the opportunity to be in De Kooning's East Hampton studio. Watching him work on more then one canvas at a time, absorbing the colors, the forms, the energy of his studio was a life changing moment.

I have many influences , such as Wilfredo Lam, Roberto Matta, Frida Kahlo , Paul Klee, To name a few .
