Yolanda de Niet was born in The Hague in the Netherlands in 1950.
She has been living and working in Schrassig, Luxemburg since 1998.
During that time she has trained, both in group situations and on a one-to-one basis, with such well-known Luxemburgish artists as:

Michel Demart (watercolours)
Kauser Arif (oils)
Lidia Markiewicz (acrylics)
In 2002, 2004 and 2006 she attended summer courses at l’Amande in Nepvant, France.
This training has resulted in a variety of artistic output including portraits, painting and drawing houses, abstracts and other figurative work.

In the framework of ‘Luxembourg and Greater Region, European Capital of the Year 2007’ Yolanda had three opportunities to present her work:
April Art Market in Munsbach
April-October Art Market in the Grund in Luxemburg City the first Saturday of every month during spring and summer April-October.
November Ateliers Ouverts; her studio was opened to the public for three weekends, along with many other artists throughout Luxemburg.
In 2008, the experiment of the Art Market in the Grund, ‘Konscht am Gronn’ was repeated
In 2009 a new successful formula has been invented for these markets, which has been repeated in 2010, 2011, 2012,2013,2014 and 2015.
In the studio at her house - which can be visited at appointment - there is a permanent exhibition of her recent work. There are also informal sessions for fellow artists.
Training for adults and children can be organized.
