Through the arts we can reach out to our creative source. We can use our creativity to enrich our personal & professional lives. Colour is a progressive art. While my paintings draw much from the tradition, my effort has been to explore the new concepts in manipulation of colour. I try to interpret them in aesthetic terms which one might comprehend without difficulty Painting is a process of evolution. For me, painting is a learning experience that finds me constantly evolving, Style is not the point. Artists always change to find something new. I try to find the most intriguing, and imagine how I might cultivate that intrigue by creating an image using that reference as a starting point. Generally I consider my art a purely personal expression; occasionally I don’t. I consider it, also, a contribution to society. … I consider my work an expression of the age.. … I believe that art should be Universal in spirit, and therefore I do not consider my work an expression of the spirit of any national, racial, religious, political, social or economic group, body, background or attitude. For decades I have been wielding the brushes as a hobby. Although I am an entirely self-taught artist I have had a few one-man shows to my credit and been part of regional group exhibitions in Bombay, Bangalore, and Delhi in the 70's and 80's. The new millennium has brought with it a new phase of creativity, and I am again finding myself painting and capturing the evanescent moments of this world. I have been regularly painting and selling art in India and abroad. Many of my creations adorn the wall of homes and offices in India and abroad.
