Maria-Paz Scott
I was born in Santiago, Chile in 1971. She moved to Toronto in 1985.
In August of 2003, she moved to Calgary where she found her passion for art.
I quickly fell in love with the texture, the looseness and the impressionistic feel of Pallet Knife oil paintings.
I enjoy painting the beauty of Birch trees, the contrast of the knife texture versus the softness of flowers and the play of colors and composition of abstract paintings.
I enjoy teaching my technique to students of all skill levels and ages. My workshops are interactive, comprehensive and fun. I can teach anyone to paint a fabulous Impressionist master piece.
I have been represented at Avenida Art Gallery and Harlequin Galleries in Calgary.
I am a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and ArtPoint Gallery & Studios Society.
My work was last exhibited at Calyx Distinctive Arts 18th Semi-Annual Art Exhibition and Sale on Sunday, April 26th, 2009.
