I have no particular story or description to provide to introduce myself, I have not studied art or drawing, I do it by myself on a regular basis since 2006.
These drawings are - mostly - not part of special series, these are images that I see from a world that stirs in my mind for some years. So when a new landscape is discovered, when a new inhabitant is revealed, I draw them to not forget them. I help myself with some visions, dreams or feelings experienced through music, which has a very important place in my life since I'm able to walk.
I just do drawings, with the boldest mines to get the most saturated blacks. I like to think that I paint with graphite more than I draw. This saturation of graphite gives a nice satin look to the whole blackened sheet.
I chose the high contrast, simple subjects and this material because it's what is the strongest, fastest to execute. The emotions that pass does not get lost in the days but are thrown almost instantly on the sheet. The pleasure of a sudden dive frantically mining a landscape or a face in complete darkness is without equal.
