In a nutshell? Well let's see...I've been drawing all my life. I used to have drawing contests with my brother on the back of "ditto" paper that my mother would bring home from work. Now I am cutting up paper, junk mail, credit card bills and offers and making art out of it. It started as a game with myself to make art without buying art supplies. This is one project where the materials come to me everyday, sometimes I can't keep up with it. I paint too. My solution on how not to buy canvas is to paint on book covers that I find on the streets of Brooklyn. My concerns these days? The divide between the haves and have nots that is getting wider all the time. How do people survive? How do I survive? Making art helps a lot. I've worked in many art related fields. A textile designer in the fashion industry, various art department positions on indie films, a designer for theme bar mitvahs (yes you read that right!) and all kinds of weird jobs in between. Right now I am focusing on my OWN creations as those jobs often left me unable to make my own art but have taught me many techniques which I am now finally able to incorporate into my private life. I consider myself lucky to have many friends who are artists who inspire me and encourage me. I think it's great that this forum, CultureInside, seems to be like that but on a global scale.

OK. Here's the "official" C.V stuff.
