I'm a lawyer by training but an artist by inclination. I practised law in government in Wellington, tramping the high country of Central New Zealand at the weekends to keep my sanity and creating and selling srt in my spare time.
I now live in Far North NZ having looked after my elderly mom sole charge for 10 years with Alzheimers. She passed away in 2007 so now at last I'm really getting on with my art.
I've exhibited over the years and had a solo exhibition in Hamilton and a jont exhibition on the North Shore, Auckland. I've exhibited in Southern Spain and Colombia. My works found homes throughout New Zealand, the USA, in Canada, Australia and France.
In 1999 I won the Telecom Art Award for Northland which put my art was on the cover of the Northland Phone Book for 2000. The following year I won the design award for the "Welcome to Kaeo" road signs for Twin Coast Discovery Highway NZ. I have illustrated for books, government publications and newspapers. I also freelance on the net in graphics and webdesign.
