I originally trained as an botanical illustrator, where detail and accuracy where paramount. However I became disatified with simply recording what I saw and began experimenting with different styles and media.

Today my work has many influences, particularly by the objects,colours and patterns I see around me. I find a rich source of inspiration from the ancient world. I often use images and artifacts as a basis for my work. No longer faithfully recording every detail but interpreting them in my own way.

I would discribe my work as realism with an abstract twist.
