There are 21 pieces of colored plexiglass linked to each old street lamp of the Siegessaule platz.
Each piece have a different color in order to have a rainbow palette.
You can have a look at the angel in the center of the place and see him in red, blue, green, orange, grey etc…changing each time your feelings. With this project I pay tribute to the film of Wim Wenders "Wings of Desire". I love this film. I have been inspired by the angel statue of Victory for a long time ago. Giving to people the possibility to see this angel in different colors I ll transform them into angel for a short piece of time just as Wenders' angels, when they fall into love or when they feel human emotions, their black and white vision become in colors.
I have written a poem and stoked little piece of rake inspired by each different color and point of view of the "windows" opened on the statue.I hope that these poems associated to the color will create a double stimulation on the walker's imagination. I hope to leave in your heart a poetic feeling and maybe let you feel wings growing in your back…
