That is to say that painting, carving,printing or playing music is just a way of life as normal and natural as breathing. The plus to having pleasure doing it would be to be able to give the same sensations to others, to share... It's obviously the case with music or performing arts, not as simple with graphic arts when one can stay by himself. I started sculpture by doing direct carvings but i had to switch to modeling due to physical problems with my hands. Hitting all the time gets to you. What's marvellous with ceramics, especialy raku is that working with the earth, wind and fire, you feel somehow more connected to basic elements...
